What age is the Vertical Pegboard suitable for?
The Vertical Pegboard is designed for children of all ages and evolves as they grow. For babies and young toddlers under 18 months, mount it low with mirrors and simple sensory accessories. From 18 months to 3 years, add the Art Desk, Cup Holder and Paper Roll Holder for independent creative play. Between 3 and 6 years, Shelves, Storage Bins and the Magnet Board help organise books, toys and art supplies. From 6 to 10 years, introduce the Study Desk, Paper Tray and Display Racks for learning and school projects. From 10 years onwards, it can become a personal organisation wall with hooks, bins and display accessories that reflect their interests.
Which accessories should I start with?
It depends on your child's age and how they use their space. For toddlers under 3, we recommend the Art Desk, Cup Holder and Paper Roll Holder. For school-age children, the Study Desk, Shelves and Storage Bins are a great starting point. You can always add more accessories as their needs evolve.
At what height should I mount the pegboard?
Mount the pegboard so your child can comfortably reach the lowest accessory without stretching or needing help. For toddlers, this typically means positioning the bottom of the board around 30–40 cm from the floor.
Can I install the Vertical Pegboard by myself?
Yes. All necessary mounting hardware and step-by-step instructions are included. Installation typically takes 20–30 minutes. We recommend having two adults for easier positioning and levelling.
Will it damage my walls?
The Vertical Pegboard requires four mounting points for secure installation. The resulting drill holes are similar to those used for standard wall-mounted furniture and can be easily patched if you remove or relocate the board.
Can it be mounted on all wall types?
The pegboard can be mounted on concrete, brick and standard drywall. For drywall, we recommend using the included wall anchors and securing to studs where possible. We do not recommend mounting on hollow partition walls without additional reinforcement.
Are accessories included with the Vertical Pegboard?
No. Accessories are sold separately. This allows you to build a setup that suits your child today and expand it over time.
Can I move accessories after installation?
Yes. All Lila.grow accessories can be repositioned across the pegboard without tools, making it easy to adapt the setup as your child's needs change.
Can I add accessories later?
Absolutely. You can start with a few essentials and add more accessories over time. All Lila.grow accessories are designed to work with existing pegboards.
Can the pegboard hold heavy accessories or items?
Yes. When properly installed, the Vertical Pegboard can support up to 60 kg of distributed weight. Individual accessories have their own load ratings. For example, the Coat Hook holds up to 3.3 kg and the Metal Hooks hold up to 5 kg each.
Can two Vertical Pegboards be used side by side?
Yes. Multiple Vertical Pegboards can be mounted side by side to create a larger modular wall system. This works especially well in shared rooms, study spaces and playrooms.
How do I clean and maintain the pegboard?
Simply wipe it down with a damp cloth. Avoid soaking or using harsh chemical cleaners. Refer to the care guide included in the box for full details.
Can I use the Vertical Pegboard in any room?
Yes. The pegboard works beautifully in nurseries, playrooms, bedrooms and shared family spaces. Its natural birch finish and minimal design blend easily into most interiors.
How is the Vertical Pegboard different from the Horizontal Pegboard?
Both pegboards work with the same Lila.grow accessories and offer the same modular functionality. The difference is primarily the format and wall space available. The Vertical Pegboard is ideal for narrower walls and compact spaces, while the Horizontal Pegboard works well on wider walls where a larger setup is desired.
